David Ellis - is a specialist in exercise and functional fitness and holds a Masters Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. He currently works as the Director, Sport Science for the Canadian Alpine Ski Team and as a consultant with the British Columbia Alpine Ski Team. Further, David is a course instructor for the National Coaching Institute (NCI-Calgary) in Calgary, and is responsible for Task 1/16 – Energy Systems and Long-term Athlete Development.

Kelly Anne Erdman - is a Registered Dietitian for the Canadian Sport Centre Calgary, the NCI, and the University of Calgary Sport Medicine Centre. She was a member of the Canadian cycling team from 1985-1992 and is a 1992 cycling Olympian. Kelly Anne completed her Master of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary in 2004 while investigating the dietary supplementation usage and patterns among high performance athletes.

Clare Fewster - holds a MSc in sport psychology consulting and intervention from the University of Ottawa. She works at the Canadian Sport Centre Calgary and teaches sport psychology at the National Sport School. Clare is presently working with the Women's Under 22 National Hockey Team and the Oval Xtreme Hockey Team. From her experiences as an athlete and as a support staff at a variety of levels, including the 2002 Winter Olympics and several Canada Games, Clare has developed a strong awareness of the needs of athletes and coaches.

Matt Jordan completed his Master of Science in Exercise Physiology at the University of Calgary. He has his NCCP Level 2 Weightlifting Certification and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Matt has been a strength consultant with the Canadian Sport Centre Calgary since 1999 and currently works with National Team athletes in long track speed skating, cross country skiing, biathlon and alpine skiing. He also trains athletes in a variety of other sports including: mixed martial arts, hockey, football and volleyball.

Brad Kilb - enters his 3rd decade serving as a mentor, instructor and varsity coach in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. A former National Team Coach with Volleyball Canada, Brad's coaching experience includes coaching positions with the top professional leagues in Europe and Asia. A Level 5 Coach, Brad conducts certification courses/seminars within the NCCP and FIVB, and has piloted the creation of Interactive Volleyball. Brad currently coaches nationally ranked volleyball teams in the Youth & Open Categories.

Dr. Jon Kolb – is an Associate Professor in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary and the Director of the National Coaching Institute-Calgary. He has been teaching for the NCI–Calgary since its inception in 1994. Jon teaches Task 5, Environmental Factors on Performance and Task 16, Long Term Athlete Development. He is a specialist in high altitude medicine and physiology. Jon holds a Ph.D. from the German Sport University Cologne, an M.Sc. from the University of Oregon and a B.A. from the University Of Southern California. He has authored several publications in scientific journals related to altitude training and performance. Jon is a former National Team Coach for Gymnastics Canada Gymnastique, with many international coaching assignments including World Championships, World University Games and the Pacific Rim Championships.

Don McGavern is currently a private consultant in Calgary, working with a variety of corporate and sport associations in the area of enhancing human performance. In addition, he is a popular professional speaker, providing presentations on leadership, motivation and personal developmnent throughout western Canada. Don has a Masters of Science degree from the University of Oregon, where he was a staff professor/sport coach prior to coming to Canada. While in Canada his experiences include: national technical director/coaching coordinator and national team coach for the Canadian Amateur Diving Association; the technical coordinator/coach for the northern region of Alberta diving; head coach of the University of Alberta Diving program; the general manager/head coach of DIVE CALGARY; the aquatic manager/special academic instructor for the Faculty of Kinesiology at University of Calgary; and a current Alberta master learning facilitator in the NCCP program.

Susan Massitti - is a Physiotherapist at the U of C Sport Medicine Centre and holds a Masters Degree in Manipulative Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland, Australia. Susan was a 1998 Olympian in Long Track Speed Skating. She was a physical therapist at the 1996, 2000 and 2006 olympics as well as numerous other international games.

Dr. Stephen Norris - is currently the Director of Sport Physiology & Strategic Planning at the Canadian Sport Centre Calgary where he is responsible for Canada’s Winter Olympic Sports Teams, as well as being Adjunct Assistant Professor of Applied Physiology within the Human Performance Laboratory (HPL) at the University of Calgary. Stephen’s research areas embrace the ‘umbrella’ of ‘sustainable performance’, particularly issues to do with hypoxia / hyperoxia, cardiovascular / cardiopulmonary responses to ‘stress’, and assessing recovery and regeneration states. His focus of attention ultimately centres upon the implementation of sport science into practical settings, particularly aspects to do with the planning, periodization, sequencing and monitoring of training.

Dr. Dave Paskevich - is an associate professor in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary, and holds a Doctorate in Kinesiology (Sport Psychology) from the University of Waterloo. Dave has been at the University of Calgary since 1997 and currently works with National Team athletes in Freestyle Skiing and Men’s Gymnastics. Dave was a COC accredited sport psychology service provider for the 2006 Olympic Games in Torino, and has attended numerous World Cup and World Championship competitions. Dave also works with professional and other high performance athletes in a variety of sports including hockey, football, lacrosse, golf, and volleyball. Dave has been involved in a number of sports as an athlete and coach.

Bill Richardson - is the Manager of IT Services and an instructor in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. Bill develops computer applications for various sport organizations and teaches courses on computer applications in kinesiology. He has also consulted with a variety of organizations on the use of computer and other electronic technologies for assisting athletes and coaches. He has been involved in a number of sports as an athlete, a coach, and an official.

Pro Stergiou - is a Biomechanist with an M.Sc. in Medical Sciences. He has played and coached soccer and has also worked at NIKE. Pro is currently employed as a Territory Manager for a medical device company and is situated in Calgary. In the past few years, Pro has consulted as a Biomechanics expert to many National teams in Canada.

Dave Thomas- has an MBA and a MPE from UBC. He also holds a BSc in Physical Education from York University. Dave was a coach with the Canadian National Sailing Team for 11 years and coached at four Olympics. He is a consultant with Rocket Builders, a technology consulting company and runs Macdonald Sailing Academy in Vancouver in the summer.
